In this episode Dr. Keith Belton, Director of the Manufacturing Policy Initiative in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University, discusses the emergence of smart manufacturing. After providing a detailed description of the physical architecture of smart production, Keith addresses a number of concerns, notably the potential negative impact on low-skill workers as well as cyber security vulnerabilities.
